This visit is to the Signalling Equipment Restoration Team at LT Museums' Acton Depot. The Team of volunteers are working to restore some of the more traditional items of LT signalling equipment.
They have 3 manual lever frames in operation, a ‘B’ style, ‘N’ style and an ‘N’ push/pull style, a Ribbon Storage Train describer, DRUM train describer, Interlocking Machine (operated by push button using electro pneumatic valves) and the JLEBUSCS in simulation mode (possibly with a small section being demonstrated). An E&SB Central Line type of 3 position semaphore, the original Metropolitan Railway Baker Street booking hall train destination sign and the Harrow-on-the-Hill overbridge platform 1 train describer sign and possibly some other items under renovation.
The tour leader will describe the work that has be going on to restore the equipment and there will be the opportunity to operate some of the frames.
